A Mighty Change

It started out as a personal project, thus Project Doctrine of Christ. It was a collection of notes, learnings and in-depth personal teachings from the Lord.

But the project was only a small part and relatively recent development in my personal “walk with the Lord.” It’s a term used by evangelical Christians to describe their ongoing relationship with the Lord that I have come to love and appreciate. Especially since it really has been “a walk” throughout.

Sometimes I have meandered. Sometimes I took the scenic route. Sometimes I stopped to gander for long periods of time. Sometimes I was not seeking at all, much less asking and knocking. I was very slow at times, especially to remember the Lord and to see His hand in all my doings. I was very content at times with my “church status” as “active” or “temple recommend holder” or “serving in a calling, leadership and even the temple” as though it was the pinnacle of mortal probation and had helped me rack up a surplus of celestial points. But the Lord took His time as always. He patiently waited for me to come along at the pace I was willing to receive (D&C 88:32-33).

The more formal and accelerated portion of my journey occurred in the last 10 years. Each time I was willing to be humble and put aside the world He would push on the gas pedal a little more.

He changed my heart in so many ways. He is the one that led me to start this documentation part of my mission. Through this personal project, the Lord changed my heart, even more, enlightened my mind and my soul. He is so good that way.

A Not-So-Mighty Change

There has been a tremendous response from others to the study guides in the short period of time they have been available. So in light of this, it really has turned into something else other than “my project.” It represents something bigger and more universal now.

It represents a universal journey for any and all. It’s more of an outline than ever before. The Lord has helped me simply point any and all to the written word. If you will “feast” upon the written word, the Lord’s voice will teach you personally and accelerate your own journey that ends in His presence.

Then it will begin again as you will have shaken off the veil of unbelief and the veil of mortality. The Lord will give you the royal treatment as he did to Adam, Eve, Nephi, Moses, Ether, Abraham, Joseph Smith and many other ordinary people living right now among you.

So in light of this and to more accurately depict the purpose of this content going forward we will make a not-so-mighty change and transition from Project Doctrine of Christ to Journey Doctrine of Christ.

So I invite you to once again journey into and through the Doctrine of Christ. All three study guides are intended to support your journey.
