To Behold The Gift That Keeps On Giving, Literally

Behold The Real Gift

It’s the holiday season.  Many are contemplating what to give and to who they are going to give to.  But the real reason for the season, as we all know by now, is much more than symbols–stars, trees, mangers, wreaths, lights, temporal gifts, green, red, white and many more.  Oh how we love to celebrate our symbols.  So much so, that we often miss the point.  Symbols can be good start, but the symbols are meaningless if they do not ever lead you or compel you to receive the real thing.

Jesus Christ and everything that He offers is the reason for the season.  It’s during this holiday season that we celebrate His good-news-gospel (doctrine of Christ) that was given to Adam and Eve and then, after apostasy, was restored in every major dispensation of time on this earth (Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus Christ in meridian of time, Joseph Smith in latter days).

In each restoration of His good-news-gospel message (doctrine), our Lord has been patiently and repeatedly inviting all to receive the real thing–not to just celebrate with symbols.  He offers the real thing if you will:

Give the Real Gift

All of what He offers is available through gifts of the spirit. Even though you personally cannot offer what Christ offers, you can offer someone the gift of the personal journey.  So this year, start your journey in and through Christ and then share this journey with the ones you love.

You don’t have to be the expert.  You don’t have to convince anyone or even overcome someone else’s “unbelief.”  The Lord Himself will take anyone on their own personal journey through His spirit as they learn, believe, live and teach Christ’s doctrine.

So at a minimum, we personally invite you to share The Doctrine of Christ Study Guide.

Also, one major reason that people struggle to overcome their “unbelief” is because they do not have the necessary confidence in their personal revelation or the strength in discernment.  This is the exact reason that The 3 Voices of Personal Revelation Study Guide was developed–to increase confidence and strength in these gifts.  And no one will be able to “come unto Christ” without relying on the Lord only (2 Nephi 4) and developing these essential gifts.  This study guide contains complete descriptions of each of the 3 voices.  It also contains an application section where you can practice learning discernment by applying what you have learned.

So, we personally invite you to also share The 3 Voices of Personal Revelation Study Guide.

And for those that have started their own personal journey we also invite you to develop a greater understanding and use of the gift of charity–as it never faileth and is essential on this journey.

So, we personally invite you to also share Lectures on Charity.

There is a gift for everyone no matter where they are on their journey–including not having started yet.  May God bless you in your personal journey and we hope you also may become the first fruits (Jacob 4:11) of the Lord.

JourneyDoctrineOfChrist.org is based on complimentary, online Study Guides to help you learnbelievelive and teach the Doctrine of Christ. The Study Guides invite any and all to see and know this truth for themselves that the Savior, Jesus Christ, has in fact introduced His doctrine and He personally invites all to literally receive Him while in the flesh (mortality).

Blog posts are intended to supplement the Study Guides.  Per all blog posts, seek the understanding and confirmations from the Lord in your own personal revelation.  Study guides are intended to point you to both the Lord’s written word and His voice (personal revelation). These study guides will help you uncover what the Doctrine of Christ is and other essential topics that will help you in your journey to come into His presence while in mortality. All study guides are available at JourneyDoctrineOfChrist.org

  1. Thank you for this! I have been also considering this as my wife and I are having our second Christmas with our child and she’s learning about things like presents, Santa, Christmas trees and wreathes, and the like. I am trying to start now to ensure Christmas is about Christ and that any symbol is explained to lead to thoughts and understanding of Him, His doctrine, and His sacrifice. I’m glad for the encouragement to share the gift of the literal path to Him and His presence. Thank you again for sharing your testimony and helping others come to Him.
