So there I was preparing for a gathering of new friends and in walks an old friend. I have to admit that I was pretty shocked. After all, this was no ordinary gathering. This was a gathering of like-minded people that are at various places on their journey to fulfill the Doctrine of Christ and personally receive the Savior. Everyone was there to hear the sacred, tender and personal witnesses from a specific few of their journey to have received the Savior, Jesus Christ.

A few things were confirmed to me that day. One, this group was much larger than I was expecting. I was so impressed with the means by which everyone had arrived at that particular place at the same time for the same reason. There were no accidents or coincidences either. Each person had a unique story for how they arrived there and who were the many different people that touched them along the way. Because they all did not have the same understanding of the Doctrine of Christ, their unique journeys were also about what the scriptures and the Lord’s spirit had taught them to that point.

The Lord is connecting with so many people. Actually, He is attempting to wake everyone up, and He is actually getting through to some by receiving His doctrine through His words and His spirit. He is reaching those that have ears to hear and eyes to see.

“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Matt 11:15).

We Know What Happens When We Assume

So the fact that I was personally shocked to see my old friend is on me. Oh how great our God! Oh how great He is to work with each of us in our own unique way to bring us from where we are now to the tree of life, yea, even life eternal.

Each of us should never assume that any of your family, friends, acquaintances, ward members or even online interactions are either not on this journey or not open to the profound opportunity to start their own journey.  As a matter of fact, this relatively large gathering of new friends (and even old friend) was due in large part to the willingness of a few to share this message with several of their family, friends, ward members and, yes, even from inspired interactions online.

Actually, Journey Doctrine of Christ and the Study Guides were developed for this exact purpose. They were intended to be a non-threatening and scriptural resource that is perfect for allowing the spirit of the Lord to work on each person. Most of us have heard of so many different aspects of the Doctrine of Christ (Light of Christ, Power of the Holy Ghost, Baptism of Water, Baptism of Fire, Gift of the Holy Ghost, Baptism of blood, Second Anointing, Second Comforter, Calling & Election, Church of the Firstborn) but we may not have a clear picture of how it all comes together. The Study Guides were intended to help people piece together what the Doctrine of Christ really is and what is necessary to fulfill it.

When a person discovers Journey Doctrine of Christ and engages with the Study Guides it will not take long to figure out whether that person has ears to hear. At a minimum, a seed will be planted within them. The Lord’s spirit will do all the hard work by continuing to try and connect with them and do everything possible to open their ears that they might hear His call to start or accelerate their personal journey.

With that in mind, I want to personally invite you to prayerfully share Journey Doctrine of Christ and the Study Guides with others you know–with no assumptions. The Lord knows who has ears to hear and eyes to see right now.

“Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers. I know thy heart, and have heard thy prayers concerning thy brethren [and sisters]. Be not partial towards them in love above many others, but let thy love be for them as for thyself; and let thy love abound unto all men [and women], and unto all who love my name” (D&C 112:10-11).

Share it via email, Facebook, Twitter and word of mouth. At least introduce it and allow the Lord’s spirit to help them to learn, understand, believe, live and fulfill the Doctrine of Christ. You have nothing to lose and they have everything to gain.
